How It Works

  • Your passphrase is turned into a key via PBKDF2 (100 000 iterations)
  • Text is encrypted with AES-256-GCM
  • A random salt + IV is prepended to the output

Use a strong passphrase. This tool does not store anything — if you lose the passphrase, the data cannot be recovered.

About AES-GCM Encryption

AES-GCM (Advanced Encryption Standard — Galois/Counter Mode) provides both confidentiality and integrity. It's the same standard used by TLS/HTTPS, password managers and military-grade encryption.
